الميرغني يدين اقتحام مليشيا الدعم السريع مدينة النهود

أدان السيد جعفر الصادق محمد عثمان الميرغني، نائب رئيس الحزب الاتحادي الديمقراطي الأصل ورئيس الكتلة الديمقراطية، بأشدِّ العبارات اقتحام مليشيا الدعم السريع مدينةِ النهود في غرب كردفان منذ الخميس 1 مايو 2025. واعتبر أنَّ هذا الهجوم الغادر وما صاحبه من استباحةٍ للمواطنين الأبرياء ولحرمة مؤسسات الدولة في المدينة يُمثِّل جريمةً شنيعةً وعدوانًا صارخًا على سيادة السودان وأمن شعبه. ويتقدَّم السيد جعفر بخالص التعازي والمواساة لأُسر الشهداء والضحايا، ويدعو بالشفاء العاجل للجرحى والمصابين جرّاء هذه الاعتداءات الآثمة.
ناشد السيد جعفر الميرغني المجتمعَ الدولي بكافّة هيئاته، وفي مقدمتها الأمم المتحدة والاتحاد الأفريقي والجامعة العربية، أن يتحمَّل مسؤولياته الأخلاقية والقانونية حيال دعم الدولة في السودان. وأشار إلى أنَّ صمت المجتمع الدولي إزاء توالي الجرائم الوحشية التي ترتكبها مليشيا الدعم السريع (كما حدث في أم درمان ومنطقة صالحة حيث أعدمت المليشيا ما لا يقل عن 31 مدنيًا أعزل بينهم أطفال وشيوخ يوم الأحد 27 أبريل 2025) يقابله للأسف صمتٌ دوليٌّ غيرُ مقبول. وحذّر من أنَّ هذا الصمت يُشجِّع تلك المليشيا على التمادي في جرائمها، وعليه طالب بتحرُّك دولي عاجل لوقف هذه الانتهاكات ومحاسبة مرتكبيها وضمان أمن وسلامة الأبرياء.
على الصعيد الوطني، وجَّه السيد جعفر الميرغني نداءً عاجلًا إلى جميع أبناء الوطن في كافة الولايات بضرورة التعبئة العامة والوقوف صفًا واحدًا خلف القوات المسلحة السودانية الباسلة. وأكّد أنَّ اللحظة التاريخية الحرجة التي يمر بها الوطن تستوجب تلاحم جميع أبنائه دفاعًا عن وحدة السودان وسيادته، واستعادة الأمن والاستقرار. كما شدّد على الرفض القاطع لأيِّ مشاريع تستهدف تمزيق الوطن أو فرض تسوية سياسية بقوة السلاح. وأكّد أن السودان سيظل وطنًا واحدًا موحَّدًا، ولن يُسمح بفرض واقعٍ جديدٍ على أرضه عبر فوهات البنادق.
وأكّد السيد جعفر الميرغني التزام الحزب الثابت بمواصلة دوره السياسي والوطني في سبيل تحقيق السلام العادل والدائم في السودان. كما شدّد على ضرورة أن يكون السلام المنشود مبنيًّا على أسس العدالة وسيادة القانون، بما يضمن مُحاسبة كلِّ من تلطَّخت أياديهم بدماء الأبرياء وعدم إفلاتهم من العقاب. وأوضح أن إنهاء دوّامة العنف لن يتم إلا ببسط سلطة الدولة على كامل تراب الوطن وترسيخ مبدأ عدم التسامح مع الجرائم بحق المواطنين.
وفي رسالة خاصة إلى أبناء مدينة النهود وعموم إقليم كردفان، أشاد السيد جعفر الميرغني بصمودهم وإبائهم الوطني الأصيل، مؤكّدًا أن هذه المحنة ــ مهما اشتدّت ــ لن تنال من تماسكهم ووحدتهم الوطنية. وأوضح أن القوات المسلحة والأمة السودانية جمعاء لن تتركهم وحدهم في مواجهة هذه التحديات، بل تقف إلى جانبهم صفًا واحدًا حتى دحر العدوان وعودة الأمن والاستقرار إلى ربوع كردفان العزيزة.

Mr. Gaffar Elmirgani, Vice President of the Democratic Unionist Party (Original) and Chairman of the Democratic Bloc Alliance, strongly condemned the armed assault carried out by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on the city of Al-Nuhud in West Kordofan, which took place on the morning of Thursday, 1 May 2025. He described this treacherous attack, and the accompanying violations against innocent civilians and the sanctity of state institutions, as a heinous crime and a flagrant aggression against Sudan’s sovereignty and the safety of its people.

Mr. Elmirgani extended his deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the families of the martyrs and victims, and wished a swift and complete recovery to the wounded and injured. He further reiterated his unwavering support for the resilience of the Sudanese people in the face of this unlawful violence.

Calling on the international community—particularly the United Nations, the African Union, and the League of Arab States—Mr. Elmirgani urged all relevant international bodies to shoulder their legal and moral responsibilities in supporting the Sudanese state. He noted that the continued silence in the face of the RSF’s escalating crimes—including the recent massacre of at least 31 unarmed civilians, among them children and the elderly, in Omdurman and Salha on 27 April 2025—is deeply troubling and ethically unacceptable. He warned that this silence only emboldens the RSF to persist in its violations and called for immediate international intervention to stop the atrocities, hold perpetrators accountable, and ensure the protection of civilians.

At the national level, Mr. Elmirgani issued an urgent call for full national mobilization across all states of Sudan in support of the Sudanese Armed Forces. He stressed that the current critical juncture demands unity, determination, and firm resolve in defending Sudan’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and constitutional order. He categorically rejected any attempts to partition the country or impose a political outcome through violence. “Sudan,” he affirmed, “will remain a unified homeland, and no new reality will be imposed by the barrel of a gun.”

Mr. Elmirgani reaffirmed his steadfast commitment—and that of the Democratic Unionist Party—to the pursuit of a just and lasting peace. He emphasized that peace must be built upon the foundations of justice and the rule of law, which requires that those responsible for the bloodshed of innocent civilians be held fully accountable. He reiterated that the cycle of violence will only be broken through the full restoration of the state’s authority and a national principle of zero tolerance for crimes against the people.

In a special message to the people of Al-Nuhud and the wider Kordofan region, Mr. Elmirgani commended their courage, dignity, and steadfastness. He assured them that, despite the painful ordeal they face, their unity and national commitment remain unshaken. He affirmed that the Sudanese Armed Forces and the entire nation stand shoulder to shoulder with them until this aggression is repelled and peace and stability are restored to the beloved land of Kordofan.
